Porsche Macan Remote Starter
The starting system we installed in this Macan is from Viper. The Responder LC3 system includes a two-way remote control with an LCD screen and a backup five-button remote. With spread-spectrum communication technology, the remotes will work as far as 1 mile away from the vehicle under ideal conditions.
The LCD remote shows the client whether the vehicle is locked or unlocked, using graphical icons on the display. When the start button on the side of the remote is pressed, the display confirms that the vehicle has started and how much run-time it has left before shutting down automatically. The beauty of this remote is that the owner will always know whether commands sent to the vehicle have been received and executed.
The client has the option to upgrade the starter with a Viper SmartStart cell phone interface module at any time. SmartStart uses a cellular data connection to relay commands from an app on an iPhone or Android smartphone to the Viper starter system in the vehicle. The client can even check the location of his SUV using the Google Maps integration on the app.
