In this lighting makeover, we disassembled the entire headlight housing inside and out, not only to change the color of the inside of the light but also to make the headlights brighter. We still maintained OEM reliability in doing so. First, we baked the headlights in an oven so we could remove the clear outer lens. Then the guts of the headlight could be prepped and painted.
To increase the light’s clarity and brightness, we changed the projector lens to a Retro Fit Source projector lens, along with a Retro Fit Source halo ring for further esthetic appeal. Once installed, we carefully fitted the lights back together and baked them a second time to ensure a tight and even seal.
